IT IS THEN FINALIZED WITH A FINE BLACK FELT PEN IN THE WORKSHOP.

ENGRAVE THE FLAT TONES
• INSTALLATION OF A FRAME ON THE PLATE (CRUSHED PINE RESIN)
• DETERMINE THE AREAS: VALUES FROM LIGHT TO DARK
• ACID BATH FOR EACH OF THE VALUES
THIS TECHNIQUE IS CALLED AQUATINT

THE PLATE IS THEN PRINTED ON ENGRAVING PAPER.

INKING
• MULTIPLE COLOR INKS ARE APPLIED
• THE PLATE IS THEN WIPE DRY
THIS TECHNIQUE IS CALLED DOLL INKING


IMPRESSION
• THE PLATE IS PUT ON A PRESS WITH WET PAPER
• THE PRESSURE EXERTED BY THE ROLLS WILL ALLOW THE INK TO BE TRANSFERRED INTO THE PAPER FIBERS
• THE PRINT IS WEIGHTED FOR SEVERAL DAYS TO DRY
THE RESULT IS CALLED A PRINT
EACH PRINT IS UNIQUE
